Privacy policy
Sawary Trading LLC operates hervanguard.com. This explains what we collect, why, and what you can make us do about it.

The short version. We collect your email so we can send your portrait and, if you want it, our emails. We collect your answers so we can build your portrait. We never sell anything about you. You can have it all deleted by asking.
What we collect
When you take the Life Portrait Your answers to the 87 cards, how long you took over each one, the aspect you tap as loudest, and the scores calculated from all of that. Your first name and email address, so we can send you the results.
Your answers describe your health and your state of mind. That's handled separately, in our consumer health data policy.
When you buy something Your name, email, and what you bought. Stripe handles the payment and gives us back a confirmation and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number.
When you use the members area Your email, which products you own, and how far through each you are.
When you contact us Whatever you write, and your email address.
When you browse Pages viewed, roughly where you are (from your IP address, at city level), and what device you're on. Analytics cookies only run if you accept them.
Why we collect it
- To build and send your portrait, and to keep it available at your link.
- To deliver what you bought, and to take payment for it.
- To send you the emails you asked for.
- To answer you when you write to us.
- To see which pages work, in aggregate.
- To make the test more accurate, using answers stripped of anything identifying.
If you're in the UK or EU, our legal bases are: your consent (portrait, marketing email, analytics cookies), performance of a contract (delivering what you bought), and legitimate interests (keeping the site working and secure). You can withdraw consent at any time.
The anonymous research set
Every completed portrait also writes one anonymous record: the answers, the response times, the scores, and quality flags. Your name and email are never written to it, and it holds nothing that identifies you.
We use it for one thing — checking that the questions behave the way they're meant to, so the test gets more accurate over time. It's the only way to know whether a question is doing its job.
This is described in more detail in the consumer health data policy, and you consent to it separately before you start.
Your results link
Your portrait lives at its own long, random web address. It isn't listed anywhere, search engines are told not to index it, and it contains no part of your name or email.
Anyone with the link can see the portrait. That's deliberate, so you can share it with a friend or a therapist without needing an account. It also means the link is worth treating like a private document. Ask us and we'll delete it.
Who else touches your data
We use other companies to run this. They act on our instructions and can't use your data for their own purposes.

Google Analytics and Meta only run if you accept analytics cookies.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. There's no version of this business where that changes.
Where your data goes
We're in the United States, and so are our providers. If you're in the UK or EU, that means your data is transferred to the US, under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard with each provider.
How long we keep it

What you can make us do
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you everything we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete all of it.
- Send it to you in a portable file.
- Stop sending you email, or stop processing your data.
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier.
Email empower@hervanguard.com. We reply within 2 working days and complete requests within 30 days, usually much sooner. We don't charge, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
If you're in California, that includes the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share in the sense those laws mean, so there's nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.
If you're in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority. We'd rather you told us first.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember where you are in the test. Those always run.
Analytics cookies only run if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer.
Children
This is for adults. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. Tell us if we have and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Files are served through links that expire within the hour. Access to the systems holding your data is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the regulator within the time the law requires.
Changes
We update this when what we do changes. The date at the top tells you when. If a change is significant, we'll email anyone with an account.
